VARNTAE vs MONROE took place on **PenGame Academy 2026**. The host introduces it by saying the Academy levels have been high all day and warns both battlers to keep the standard up.

VARNTAE opens with a heavy first round. He attacks MONROE’s family, upbringing, council-estate background, alleged drug use, appearance, teeth, name and confidence. He uses Sodom and Gomorrah, Pablo/Ace, Platform 9¾, Queen of Spades, Marilyn Monroe, Stella Artois, sniff and Grand Canyon imagery. The round is aggressive, layered and full of direct angles.
MONROE responds with a strong first of his own. He says if VARNTAE beats him, the game is gone, then attacks VARNTAE’s look, anxiety, tracksuit, dreads, popular flow recycling and stage presence. He uses Stacey’s Mum, London Bridge, Cinnabon, “MC” repetition and Shakin’ Stevens imagery. It is a good response and shows MONROE can stand in front of VARNTAE without looking out of place.
VARNTAE’s second round is more controlled and political. He attacks MONROE’s credibility, drug use, English flag, cultural values, protest imagery, job-centre money, fake road image and lack of cash. He uses the “tikka masala” national-dish punch, Decepticon/Transformer imagery and a strong “don’t back chat” close. This round feels like VARNTAE separating.
MONROE’s second has moments but is less clean. He attacks VARNTAE’s hygiene, girl, lack of showering, acting like Justin Bieber one week and grime master the next, boxing image, and Diddy/no-motion material. He also brings Titus Bramble, fireman/trampled and autograph/lotion imagery. He briefly loses his flow, which costs him in a close battle.
VARNTAE’s third is the decisive round. He attacks MONROE’s identity, stepdad angle, local place references, name change, Genesis 19, CEX, self-harm threats as battle material, boxing, tilapia and Jide references. His delivery is dynamic and mixes spoken aggression with melodic movement, which the host later praises.
MONROE’s third is solid. He attacks VARNTAE’s photos, homelessness, roaches, government name, Noddy, head size, leather coat/shades, lack of ratings, and a GRM/song association. He finishes confidently, but VARNTAE’s style and presence have already made the bigger impact.
After the battle, the host says both performed well, but gives it to **VARNTAE**. He says VARNTAE’s style is too dynamic to deny: melodies, bars, energy and presence. He also praises MONROE, saying he stood in front of VARNTAE and did not look out of place.
