RITCHIE RICH vs RELAPSE took place on **PenGame Academy 2025** in Manchester at **The Clint Store**. It was the last battle of the night, and the host asks both MCs to make it good.
RITCHIE RICH wins the coin toss but chooses for RELAPSE to go first.
RELAPSE opens with a direct and aggressive first round. He attacks RITCHIE RICH’s partner, appearance, hygiene, politics, height, teeth, money, Doncaster background and previous incidents. He uses “Richie Rich” money flips, Tamworth vs Doncaster framing, and says RITCHIE could write 64 bars and still not match one of his 16s. It is a clear opening round for RELAPSE.
RITCHIE RICH responds with a rough but energetic first. He attacks RELAPSE as “Jake,” says he is angry, talks about metaphorical demands, violence, body bags, brothers on the road, and a dog called Stella. There are a few decent ideas, but the delivery feels rushed and less controlled than RELAPSE.
RELAPSE’s second starts well but falls apart near the end. He brings matching Crocs, rancid-goth imagery, relationship insults, racism/tan angles, money/name flips and says RITCHIE’s bank account is in the minus. He then stumbles and drops the material, which damages the round.
RITCHIE RICH’s second goes worse. He starts with Chris Wallace / Notorious B.I.G. material, then tries to attack RELAPSE with Uber Eats and food/weight angles. However, he loses the round badly when he drops the material and says he is off. This makes round two messy, but RELAPSE still comes out better overall because RITCHIE’s drop is heavier.
RELAPSE’s third is much stronger. He regains control and attacks RITCHIE’s family, drug use, smell, home life, partner, lack of respect, and “King of the North” image. He uses Jar Jar Binks, farmyard prince, park-bin and no-steps-and-ladders imagery. It is a solid closer and confirms the win.
RITCHIE RICH’s third is his best round. He calls himself a lyrical Hannibal and general, says he has the flows to expose RELAPSE, and uses decibel, cerebral, chemical and mic-controller imagery. It is more structured than his earlier material, but by this point the battle has already slipped away from him.
At the end, the host says the decision is easy and gives the battle to **RELAPSE**. He says RELAPSE had the better performance overall, even with the stumble. RITCHIE RICH is told he chased the beat, rushed too much, and needs to slow down, take control and be clearer on the mic.
Official host winner: **RELAPSE**.
