LEO MG vs KIE5 took place on **PenGame Academy 2025**. The host introduces it late in the day after several Academy battles, saying some people have been schooled and some still need to learn.
KIE5 goes first.
KIE5 opens with strong energy and confidence. He brands himself as “Key to the 5,” says he is ahead of his time, and attacks LEO MG’s looks, weight, hunger, clothes and general presence. He uses “counting G,” food, mummy approval, skinny body and matchstick-style imagery. The round is aggressive and sets a decent tone, even though the writing is rough in places.
LEO MG answers with a more structured first round. He attacks KIE5’s lack of struggle, delivery, food/choking imagery, podcast-wannabe image, good-boy persona and lack of stage danger. He also thanks PenGame for the opportunity but flips the food/cooking metaphor into saying if KIE5 is the food being brought to him, he is not trying the cooking. It is cleverer writing, but KIE5’s energy makes the first close.
KIE5’s second round keeps the aggression up. He attacks LEO MG as ugly, broke, weak, embarrassing and not comparable to him. There are some decent lines around brothel, peanut/Tic Tac imagery and “straight and narrow life, javelin,” but the round is less controlled than LEO MG’s second.
LEO MG’s second is his best round. He turns the Academy setting into a full classroom/substitute-teacher scheme, calling KIE5 “Mr Beast” and “Kieran,” then grading his delivery, rhyme connection, beat selection and lack of bite. He uses “main menu,” “schedule,” “set eight,” “go to HR,” and repetition as part of the lesson. This is the clearest round of the battle.
KIE5’s third has more bounce and character. He attacks LEO MG as broke, weak, from the slums, built like a cheese string, looking hench in a G-string, and then brings relationship/DM material with Declan Rice wordplay. It is energetic and has moments, but it is not enough to swing the battle.
LEO MG’s third closes the battle well. He attacks the KIE5 name, asks what the “5” is for, says he has had him since round one, and returns to the lion imagery. He then attacks KIE5’s rhythm, cadence, flavour, humour, and claims he made every instrumental, asking what it feels like for KIE5 to enjoy his beats. That gives LEO MG a strong final-round identity.
After the battle, the host says it is close. He praises KIE5’s energy and beat selection, but says LEO MG was more well-rounded and that the third round decided it. The host gives the battle to **LEO MG**.
