KANDI and STAR CO met in Champions League Fixture 2. STAR CO called heads, lost the toss and was still sent first. The upload preserves no official audience count or declared winner, so the result below is an independent LOTA review.
STAR CO's first was built around KANDI's name and reputation. He opened with a candy-shop story using sweets, pick-and-mix and teeth, then moved into allegations about KANDI's PIMP identity, his sister and scamming. Croydon Boxpark, breath and cracked-out imagery followed before STAR CO used sobriety, RELAPSE and relapsing as a platform-specific sequence. He closed by accusing KANDI of grooming new recruits with weed, women and alcohol. The round was direct and personal, but repeated sound issues forced multiple restarts.
KANDI answered with a longer shock-heavy round. After warning about the instrumental's long intro, he restarted his opening and developed a sexually explicit family angle. The verse then moved into guns, Wireless, a deliberately offensive Anne Frank comparison, circumcision and Digga D. Mixed race became a fish-swimming reference, and Mr Disrespect/Mr Lick the Rim led into skin and wings. The material was often extreme, but its range and volume edge the disrupted opener.
STAR CO's second continued the attack through music and KANDI's name. A G19 made KANDI turn quiet before harmonising, riffs and singing continued the performance angle. Candy Crush then became powder, dust and a line of her son, followed by advice to stop smoking spice. STAR CO finished by repeating a 'broke like dog' refrain over threats to dine or ban KANDI. It was energetic and easy for the room to follow, but the round leaned heavily on repetition and offered fewer developed connections.
KANDI's second was more technically varied. Trippie Redd and jaw imagery opened the round, DoorDash supplied a back-door comparison, and Yardie, ASBO, Deadpool and an afro formed a chain of appearance references. Cold star moved into being spun like a rotor and a revolver; Breaking Bad led back to the lab; and Brokeback Mountain, AFCON and drowning extended the attack. He finished by turning talk of excrement into 'mad shit' in both STAR CO's microphone and bars. The sustained writing gives KANDI a clear second.
STAR CO's third was his strongest round. Wimbledon, 15-love, serve, slice, attack, racket and Murray formed the battle's cleanest opening scheme. He followed with accusations about benefits and KANDI's family, KKK imagery, the death of KANDI's friend, hair and a retwist, then mocked KANDI's living conditions through selling toe pictures to cover the central heating. The verse was shorter than KANDI's final but more controlled and coherent.
KANDI's third had several strong pockets but another difficult performance. White Dragon and Yu-Gi-Oh introduced the round; investment moved through a blade, gun, safe and keeping the investment safe; and prison pocket became a pirate's socket. Central C became a house without central heat before a menstrual-bleed sequence. Laughter caused KANDI to stop and restart most of the verse, after which he closed by saying Margs still did not remember STAR CO's name. The wordplay is substantial, but the heavy repetition and restart cost him the round.
LOTA scores KANDI 2-1. KANDI edges a chaotic first through greater range, clearly takes the second through the denser DoorDash, Deadpool, rotor/revolver and Breaking Bad writing, while STAR CO takes the third with the cleaner Wimbledon scheme and steadier execution.
