JM and VARNTAE met in Champions League Fixture 3. JM won his first coin toss and sent VARNTAE first. The upload ends by opening the website and in-room QR voting for 48 hours, but it contains no completed tally or declared winner. The result below is therefore an independent LOTA review.
VARNTAE's first attacked JM through his real name, Joseph, opening with the biblical Joseph, a non-virgin partner and an unstable life. Whips, interracial relationships and resources led into Jamaica, Cardiff, heroin and inherited racial anxiety. Peggy, Frank, Butcher, Grant and Ian Beale created a long EastEnders sequence before crossing arms, pamphlets, activists and tobacconists moved into smoking J, Rizla paper and white ash. The round was concise, layered and specific.
JM's first used VARNTAE's Frontline Renegade Soldier melody as its entry point. A deliberately offensive primary-school punch triggered an instant reload, before JM claimed he had to make VARNTAE on his own because PenGame could not hold him up. Singing to men, rage, having to diss a friend, serenading blokes and pressure leading to choking drove the middle. JM referenced his own poor ANBU performance, then attacked VARNTAE's partner, stepson and appearance. He admitted the stepson allegation was cap during the crowd reaction, then returned with Shelley and inheritance imagery. It was energetic, but VARNTAE's first was cleaner and better connected.
VARNTAE's second was the battle's strongest round. JM became Just Move and Justified Murder; J was burned, smoked, ashed and packed while getting gassed off packs. A skirt-off line became Sidemen's Zerkaa, one M became Eminem, a condom became a Johnny, and Joseph Merrick made the journeyman boxed for bread. VARNTAE attacked JM for acting Black despite vitiligo and being born in a white district, then flipped 'JM's not bad' backwards. The final passage used Michael Jackson movement, JM teaching his daughter Muay Thai, coronavirus jabs, Joseph being jacked, Smooth Criminal and minimal cash. Multiple reloads repeated it, but the construction was dense and opponent-specific.
JM's second directly addressed a Birmingham controversy involving VARNTAE's older brother and domestic violence. A rough town on TV led into Rihanna and Chris Brown, while socks and feet, wine and lines, stoves and grime built the next rhyme run. JM remixed Remy's pork line, moved through bacon, a rasta mouse and turning Asian, then attacked VARNTAE's leather jacket and denim shorts. Digging out roots created new dreads; smoking KMARH and ANBU established recent form; and breadfruit closed the verse. It was a strong answer, but VARNTAE's second had more sustained wordplay.
VARNTAE's third opened on JM's Welsh background through the Bridgend suicide cluster and being the black sheep of his village. Little Bo Peep, autism and walking differently moved into Hannibal Lecter and silencing the lambs. He referenced KANDI, SKAMZ, DOMI DUSK, DAN DANNAH and ANBU SENSEI before attacking JM's antisemitic material. Zionists, tyrants, Joseph Stalin and Joe Biden developed the political sequence. The Welsh red dragon and St George's cross led into sharpshooting, four fingers and Owen Hart's heart stopping. Several restarts and a geography dispute over Cardiff and Bridgend broke the momentum.
JM's third was his cleanest round. Getting shelly like the Turtles became not wanting VARNTAE's input; washed like Persil and a poor sung hook followed. Infertility and Grimlock led into a mismatched fixture, putting a rapper out of the picture and being a bad-boy striker and clincher. A rapid Postman Patois passage used Raptor, Horizon, impulse, insult, insoles, signals, idols, cymbals and dimples. BBK became being a white man, before laundry, glory, story, ready, Shelley, smelly and deli formed the central rhyme. EPG, scheduled television and being gassed to battle a friend closed the performance. JM takes the third through structure and control.
LOTA scores VARNTAE 2-1. VARNTAE wins the first with the stronger Joseph and EastEnders writing, and the second with the battle's densest opponent-name, Michael Jackson and father-daughter schemes. JM wins the third through the tighter Turtles, Persil, fixture, Postman Patois and EPG construction.
