ED opens with a confident debut-style round. He says it is his debut but that he can still light up the league. His first round attacks VARNTAE’s “soldier” image, claims of authenticity, keyboard-warrior behaviour, peace-and-war contradictions, dance routines, smoking/weed angles, and false persona. He also brings name flips, “stolen valour” material and says VARNTAE lies when he raps. It is a strong opening with a lot of layered ideas.
VARNTAE answers with a bigger first-round performance. He immediately brings aggressive imagery, calling the clash euthanasia and saying no one from Ed’s crew can save him. He attacks ED’s weight, breathing, arteries, mother, father, appearance, family and relationship with Charlotte. He also uses food, kebab, cardio, River Jordan and burial imagery. The round gets a big reaction and establishes VARNTAE’s presence early.
ED’s second round leans into VARNTAE’s soldier image again. He attacks VARNTAE’s “frontline reggae soldier” style, black gloves, CapCut/cap-artist angle, fake artistry, size difference, food imagery and repetition. The round has good performance moments and a strong rhythmic section, but some of the transcript is rough and harder to follow.
VARNTAE’s second is more direct. He attacks ED’s life, Charlotte, exes, food, weight, body, insecurity, coke/nose imagery, complexion, fake image and battle status. He also calls ED a lesser threat than DEENO and uses DJ Khaled / “another one” material. This round continues the body-image and authenticity angles while adding more personal detail.
ED’s third is shorter but focused. He says he does not want to hear VARNTAE rap, attacks his wife/girl angle, says VARNTAE will not shoot, and uses Boohoo, Count Dooku and 3-0 imagery. It has moments, but it does not fully close the battle.
VARNTAE’s third is the decisive round. He opens it like a funeral, saying everyone is gathered to mourn Edward Hunt. He then attacks ED’s breath, coke use, benefits, kebab-shop image, girlfriend, mother, fake accent, body, Grim Sickers/DJ allegiance, feature request and belly. The round is clear, personal and damaging. The host later says the battle was close going into the third, but VARNTAE edged it there.
After the battle, the host says both battlers delivered A-class performances. He says the level was high, with bars, performance, flows and delivery from both sides. However, he gives the battle to **VARNTAE**, saying the third round made the difference.
