ED FIRST vs SCOTTY took place on **PenGame Academy** as a **graduation battle**. The host explains that this is the last Academy battle of the day and that the battlers are being assessed for whether they are ready to move onto the main PenGame platform.
SCOTTY wins the coin toss off camera and chooses for ED FIRST to go first.
ED FIRST opens with a confident first round, immediately calling the battle a 30 and saying there is cash on the line. He attacks SCOTTY’s battle experience, lack of progress, split-decision history, victim status, old Don’t Flop background and inability to write strong rounds despite having years to prepare. ED also uses a lot of opponent-specific wordplay around Scotty being a “nerd,” being offline, Wi-Fi, PS5/4K, dead weight, djembe, endgame and “lamb to the slaughter” imagery. It is a strong Academy opener.
SCOTTY’s first round starts slightly shaky but grows stronger as it goes on. He attacks ED’s weight, age, clothing, appearance, music, PE background, head shape, teeth, and body. His main angle is that ED is overweight, older, awkward and not visually convincing as a rapper. The second half of the round is much stronger than the first.
ED’s second round is shorter in the transcript, but it still has strong ideas. He calls SCOTTY the hype man’s hype man, says he looks like someone rough on the spectrum with big headphones and a lanyard, and uses Binance/crypto, IMAX and mortuary imagery. The round appears less complete in transcript form, but the host later still grades ED very highly overall.
SCOTTY’s second round is more complete than his first. He attacks ED’s body again, using E-double-D / double-Ds, D-I-E, K-hole, tranquiliser, rent, crack, touring, life support and torture references. He also says ED does not know what motion is and that his boat would sink. It is a solid round and shows SCOTTY improving as the battle goes on.
ED’s third has a stumble, but he still lands material. He attacks SCOTTY’s Academy status, says the YouTube comments will break him down, uses Stan Lee / Marvel references, Strictly, Zangief, taxi, clash history and a final coffin closer. He says round one was the talking, round two was walking through, and round three is the name on the coffin. It is not flawless, but it is still a strong enough closer.
SCOTTY’s third is his best round. He attacks ED’s age, net worth, clothing, Fred Durst/Limp Bizkit look, missing neck, Uncle Fester image, gap teeth, breathing, weight, Reese’s Pieces, body, inability to see his penis, lack of sex, child-related insult material, rustiness, Humpty Dumpty and falling off the wall. This round is the clearest round SCOTTY wins or at least makes highly debatable.
At the end, the host says ED FIRST takes the battle. He gives ED an **A performance**, saying it was nearly flawless and that ED is ready for the main stage. SCOTTY is praised for improving through the battle, especially in the third, and is graded around **B/B+**. Both battlers are told they deserve to return and test themselves against someone from the main roster.
Official host winner: **ED FIRST**.
