DOMI DUSK and EDDFIRST met in Champions League Fixture 1 at Croydon Boxpark. EDDFIRST won the coin toss and sent DOMI out first. Margs reminded the room that only attendees could vote and that the ballot would remain open, but the upload ends without an official count or winner.
DOMI's first committed fully to a weight angle. He moved from pregnancy and rapid growth into iPad/iPhone sizing, Po from Kung Fu Panda, the Great Wall of China, galactic caskets, sandwiches and gymnastics. The material was direct and easy to follow, with the Thailand/Po and size/asterisk passages supplying the stronger wordplay. Its limitation was repetition: almost every route returned to the same physical attack.
EDDFIRST answered with greater scheme variety. He opened by asking why DOMI was still present after being 'sunned' so often, then turned cord-cutting into a birth image. Dusk till dawn, light and dark, dust to dust and weight/maths language all targeted DOMI's name and record. ED also referenced previous boos and framed the battle as a Champions League mismatch. A reload interrupted the opening, but his completed round contained more technical movement and takes the first narrowly.
DOMI's second used EDDFIRST's name as a repeated first/last structure. He argued that ED should finish last in the league, be last to leave a kitchen and had already eaten the last snack. From there he moved through spitting blood with chips, Pringles/dimples, bells that do not jingle and a closing claim that true observations about ED sound like insults. The refrain gave the round shape, but it remained another extended food-and-weight attack.
EDDFIRST's second was his clearest round. He challenged the contradiction between gun talk and flared trousers, used a silencer to make the sound 'shh when I air it', then moved through guns at his side, homicide, speech and teeth. The standout section placed him 'in the cut' between a rock and a hard place, lifted Excalibur and returned slicing to the meaning of a cut. ED closed by predicting a clean three-round result. The wider range and cleaner technical links give him the second.
DOMI's third was his best round. After repeated earpiece failures forced several restarts, he linked fasting, food for thought, digestion and mindset before comparing ED to fufu in soup. A fruit-and-vegetable call-and-response involved the room, and Greggs/greens/red, Clash of Clans wall-breaker and Obesity City references kept the food and size framing active. The final boots/booth/roof/truth sequence gave him a strong, complete close.
EDDFIRST's final was densely delivered and less reliably preserved. Clear passages contrasted Dusk with turning up, used charge, masks, faces and raised arms, then moved through funeral costs, Nate Dogg, napalm, Neymar and a final take-life/take-part contrast. His performance remained confident, but the transcript loses too many internal connections for the round to beat DOMI's structured third.
With no official tally preserved, LOTA scores EDDFIRST 2-1. ED takes rounds one and two through greater scheme variety and the battle's cleanest technical writing; DOMI takes round three with the clearest sustained concept and strongest complete close.
